[ How smart. A method to calm Eren down and get him to rein his everything in again after yelling at television screens for ages. ]
Oh, right. Yes.
[ He taps his knuckles against the coloured markers and a thicker paper sketch pad he's found as well. ]
These are certainly things I would like to get. The paper is good quality on this sketchbook, and is unlikely to have any bleeding through from paints, or pens. It would be excellent for mock ups of important pieces before I commit to canvas.
I'm not sure about the markers, but I do want to try them and see what they can do. [ And to. Test new products and see if Palettes should stock them. ]
And you are doing an excellent job of focusing. But as we're adding a trip for you to this day, I don't see why we can't eke some extra aid for the city out of buying gifts.
Seeing as you've already decided on what you're getting him, it isn't akin to going out of our way or anything.
Well... I don't think anyone will stop you? Perhaps we're thinking too much into this. We're trying to legitimately buy goods, so I'm sure they'll understand.

Oh, that is a nice looking sketchbook! And I'm guessing the markers are good quality too?
no subject
[ He likes this sketchbook. 100%. ]
I'm not sure about the markers, but I do want to try them and see what they can do. [ And to. Test new products and see if Palettes should stock them. ]
And you are getting the model kit?
no subject
[he nods]
I think so! It'll be a nice surprise to give him!
no subject
[ Loop holes! ]

[He smiles a little]
Hehe, you're really thoughtful about other people.
no subject
[ He doesn't feel that thoughtful, really. It seems like a natural thing, to want to get things for friends. ]
Indulging that feels natural.
no subject
Right.
Anyway, here's hoping I can use their register to pay for this stuff!
no subject
I suppose if we scan the items ourselves we'll get the right price up - and then it should be easy from there on out?
[ M-MAYBE? ]
no subject
[time to head to the counter and slip behind it. He'll look at the register--]
Crap. It's one of those where you have to log in.
no subject
[ time to think out of the box....!!! ]
The alternative of stealing is not an option.
no subject
[He sighs]
Let's try the break room. And if we can't find anything, I guess we can leave money somewhere..?
no subject
[ sigh, sigh. ]
Yes, let's. We could always leave a note and the cash. Hopefully they'll understand.
no subject
[Well since he's nearest to the backroom, he'll head on in there, looking around. Calling out from the back]
You think it'd be okay to go into the employee lockers?
no subject
Well... I don't think anyone will stop you? Perhaps we're thinking too much into this. We're trying to legitimately buy goods, so I'm sure they'll understand.
[ Not that they'll ever know. ]
no subject
[There's a bunch of sounds of lockers opening up while Elliot riffles through their stuff]
...Nothing.
[Shutting the locker, he comes back to the front]
I think we might just have to leave cash on the counter.
no subject
I suppose that is better than running off with the items directly... [ Hm. ]
Do you have everything you want?
no subject
He gives a nod.]
Yeah, I do. How much were your items?
no subject
[ Good question, give him a moment. He's just going to check.
And then, from somewhere near the art section: ]
$10.99 for the sketch pad, and $15 for the pens. Do you want me to check the mech figurine price?
no subject
[He pulls out his wallet and puts down $50 on the counter. That should cover it...]
That should be enough.
no subject
[ Come to think of it... ]
Is it worth leaving a note?
no subject
Y-Yeah, probably. Can I-?
[Gestures at the sketchpad. CARE TO LOAN HIM A SHEET BRO?]
no subject
By all means. It's better to cover all of our bases.
