Born in Queens as the second son to a military officer and a pianist of some renown. Started learning music at a very young age, his mother as his first teacher. His parents died in a fire when he was eight, which he survived thanks to his brother.
The week after his parents died, he was sent to stay with Dante's grandmother while his family made arrangements. Afterwards, he was sent to live with his father's brother and his wife in Queens. In late summer of 2017, he moved to Recolle to attend Recolle University.
Elliot's older brother by ten years. Following childhood dreams, he completed firefighting training when he was 18. Unfortunately not long after, their home burned down. Carlos saved Elliot, but their parents died in the fire. A few years later, he moved out to Recolle for a job opportunity that didn't work out, and has been working numerous part time jobs ever since.
Carlos is very protective of Elliot, and is willing to do just about anything to make sure his little brother is happy. It's been largely thanks to Carlos that Elliot has been able to pursue his dreams in music as much as he has, as Carlos would provide funds, support, and fight his aunt and uncle whenever they pushed Elliot too far to be something he wasn't. However he's no longer on the app, so he has no idea about the dangers his brother is regularly exposed to ... which is probably for the best for his sanity, really.

A married couple that lived in Queens. Elliot's father was a decorated military officer in the army, well known for his heroism and efforts to protect those around him. His mother was a pianist of some renown in the classical music sphere. She was originally from a small rural town outside of Recolle, but moved to New York City to pursue her career in music. They were loving and devoted parents, but sadly passed away in a fire when Elliot was eight.

The brother of Elliot's father and his wife. They took Elliot in after his parents died and raised him. His uncle is a police officer while his aunt served in the army. While good people who do care for Elliot, they struggled with raising a child that wasn't interested in their line of work. This has caused a great amount of strife and tension between them over the years. While Elliot loves them and wants to please them, the relationship is very strained. Currently they are still in Queens.
Older cousin on his mother's side. Zack grew up in the same rural area Elliot's mom came from. He was inspired by Elliot's father to join the army, and did so once he turned 18. But when he was 25, he was injured in the shoulder and was forced to leave the military until he could fully recover. He's living in Recolle while he recovers, keeping himself busy through volunteer work and a mechanics job.
Elliot would visit his family's farm on holidays and occasionally during the summer. Like with many of their cousins, Zack acts something like an older brother to Elliot (though he's more goofy than Carlos). He's a country boy through and through, so Elliot tries to show him the ropes of city life.
A cousin of Elliot's on his mother's side. Three years older than him, she treats him like one of the baby cousins. When she was ten years old, she lost her arm to a bone cancer and since then has worn a prosthetic. Despite or maybe of her disability, she has a strong streak of independence to her and can be rather stubborn. She works at a casino in Recolle and is also a vegetarian. She enjoys teasing her cousins.
Zack's best friend from childhood. The two were an inseparable pair, meaning Elliot had plenty of time to get to know Olivia. Over time, he grew to see her as family as much as his other cousins. She's a bit more serious than Zack, and can be pretty protective.
Elliot met Eren when he was 14 at a youth military summer camp his aunt and uncle sent him to. Eren was quick to notice Elliot's lack of enthusiam for the camp, and basically in a very Eren-esque manner, yelled at him to follow his own dreams. Elliot was moved by Eren's sentiment, and they became fast friends.
After the camp ended, Elliot and Eren kept in touch through the internet, phone calls, and occasional visits. They would act as a constant source of support and motivation for one another. Over time, they developed romantic feelings for one another. A few weeks after Elliot moved to Recolle, they began dating.
Eren's cousin. He met Angela through Eren some years ago and bonded through a shared love of music. Like Elliot, Angela's family have high expectations for her to join the military despite her desire to become a musician. Unlike Elliot, her parents are much stricter about their expectations without anyone to leash them like Carlos did for Elliot's aunt and uncle. She also tends to be a lot more free spirited, not worrying about things that'd give Elliot panic attacks.
The son of a famous pianist who was friends with Elliot's mother. The week after Elliot's parents died, Elliot was sent to stay at Dante's grandmother while his family made arrangements. Dante, who was living with his grandmother at the time, was very kind and did a lot to cheer him up. After Elliot was sent to live with relatives, he lost touch with Dante and he became nothing more than a bittersweet childhood memory. That is, until he ran into him again ten years later in Recolle. Now it's just awkward.

Zack's mother who lives on a farm somewhere outside of Recolle. A kindly woman who is famous for making incredible amounts of food for holidays. She is very...enthusiatic about the idea of Zack one day finding a wife.
Olivia's younger stepsister. Due to being close in age, Elliot and Dia were often lumped together to play when Elliot would come to visit his family's farm. Dia, despite being younger than Elliot by a few months, took to mother-henning him regularly. Elliot has...mixed feelings about this tendency. She's currently the swim team captain at Recolle High, and is extremely hardworking....to the point of concerning.
