Am I going to get called in or something by app users investigating, or will this be publicly released? It’s hard to explain items we get from Retrospec to the non app users, I can’t imagine something that can magically kill people.
Plus, my mom and sister are going to have heart attacks if they ever hear about this.
Unfortunately, they were really stubborn about striking anyone off the suspect list. Even when I listed what stuff you've regained and explained how it'd be impossible for you to pull off the murders They tried telling me that maybe you were hiding stuff from me.
They said a few times that the evidence was already handed to Togusa, but what I don’t get is that if they’re involved in investigation and that stuff is actual evidence, why haven’t we been investigated?
You’d think they would’ve been to my apartment already if they could sneak into Zee’s office when no one else could.
I spoke to Zee ten days before he died. It had been one of his last contacts.
But I put all the information he gave me on a post earlier this month and posted the conversation if anyone wanted to look. Don’t know why they didn’t post them in the first place if they’re that dead set on throwing names out there.
The pool’s already gotten smaller after Joanne confirmed it was another Retrospec user, not an outside force. Maybe someone got into his office, or had to see him somehow for the magic item to work after.
But pinning it directly on the people who spoke to him and not just question their conversations was pretty stupid, especially if the conversations were “irrelevant to the case”, “personal issues” or “retrospec’s situation”.
I'm working on it !! but their code is a mess and making sense of it is a pain so it's taking forever to find a way in
also, i'm still mad they don't have any evidence to back up any of their claims? it's all pointless yelling without any evidence of crime!! all they did was whistleblow an empty scene ლಠ益ಠ)ლ i bet soon someones gonna be convinced it was one of you, in the office, with the candlestick
To me it's still telling it's an "item," isn't it? After all, that would rule out stuff like the titan body or elliot's spells or my own blade powers, right?
Actually, theoretically, my spells wouldn't be ruled out. I use an ARCUS, a device, to channel a lot of my spells. That counts as an item.
In fact, a lot of the deaths happened in ways that's technically possible for an ARCUS user. Hypnosis, death spells...both of those exist in Erebonia.
That said, these murders are way above my skill level, and I've been training readily for a year now. So it's still probably unlikely it's an ARCUS user? I mean, unless somehow there's another Erebonian that's managed to that powerful without anyone noticing...
You and Natalia have a good point. I asked Togusa and Tatsuo to keep me updated and the coroner report confirmed Zee died of a stab wound. But it wasn't something more typical like a knife. He was pierced by an outcrop on the roof of the Wiffle Waffle. The environment itself was used like a weapon.
I asked if there appeared to be signs of a struggle. Maybe he was shoved into the spike but there were none.
To my knowledge nobody is trying to pass all that information to the press. I don't know if an attempt to tell the general public would be successful when the case is so closely tied to Retrospec. I'm still trying to figure out how this case would be processed when so many non-app users would be involved. I hope it won't come to those on the network being forced to handle it alone.
That and releasing those names might be a recipe for a slander suit against the publisher. It's not the police's list, after all, merely an observation and a large amount of speculation on the part of the "Watchers."
I think they're James's friends from school. I suspected based on the dramatic name choice and their desperation to throw suspicion on people other than James so I took a risk and revealed that I was his lawyer. They flailed. Didn't get any names and they refused to meet but if I asked James he might ID them.

I know they want to find the killer like we do, but listing you guys like that was so... [UGH] You and Leo don't need this.

[ elliot??????

Well I wasn't going to let you keep being a suspect when I know you didn't do it.

[ see, this is why . . . he didn’t give you ring donuts!! ]
What did they say?

I love you too.

I got a little frustrated....

Maybe they don't want to risk outing their own identity. Nevermind they exposed several innocent people.

But I'm sure you can do it! If anyone can, it's you.
You're not wrong...
At least if they said candlestick it'd mean they'd have an actual idea to the method.

I think the last person that went to his office was that Akira Turner, but that proves just as much as the last people to talk to him online.

If you could do that with an item, it feels like manipulation. It’s hard to say if it’s of people or the environment or their bodies or all three.

What type of "item" can kill a person that way?
