You do know I'm not serious about that, right? [Chalk it up to sleep deprivation and the nightmare he just had himself, but...] I'm not actually keeping track of any "debt." I don't actually care.
[Crow's quiet for a moment, not even in the midst of typing his response yet. It's not that he's ignoring Rean, he'd read the whole thing actually, and it at least shows as read.
Crow was actually in the middle of regaining a memory, the scene flashing as vividly as if he were truly there. A toss of a coin, this time not in the air for a trick, but right back into Rean's hands. Words are exchanged, Rean and Crow laughing about the debt being paid, and Rean admitting he didn't want it to end at that.
Something something about 'interest'.
Crow laughs, glad Rean couldn't hear him. So...this was how it was meant to be, huh? Just picking up where'd they'd left off in their past life...
His eyes are warm now, looking at Rean's reply, before he begins to type, finally.]
[Rean's "quiet" for a moment, as well, leaving them on read for a moment as he soaks that in.
It's... a nice feeling, being reassured like this. It's okay. Crow likes this, too. And "as far as he can go," huh?
There's a vague fluttery feeling in his chest and in his stomach, and it's unfamiliar enough to catch Rean off guard for a moment. It's... probably just anxiety getting to him, right? It would make sense, with how high-tension everything's been and how little sleep he's really managed, that even this much would set him off.
Whatever. He should respond.]
Haha, all right.
Sorry. All this heat's getting to my head, I think. Which is why I have so much Gatorade now, I'm just trying to stay hydrated... word to the wise, don't live on the seventh floor of a brick building with no AC in times like these
Your complex has no AC? Damn no wonder your brain's fried
[Wait...Lightbulb.]
I may know a place with AC where you can crash for awhile. Already has one handsome looking guy staying in it, who makes a pretty mean cup o' joe and a cat you can pet for free
That's dorms for you. It's amazing when the elevator even works, here, AC is never gonna happen
[...Wait. Is he...?]
...Are you offering to let me stay with you?
[It should be obvious what the answer to that question is, but Rean's just mystified. That's really generous of him... too generous, maybe. He has to be joking, right?]

Are you seriously holding a coffee over my head when you have the cash to buy out a corner store for their gatorade 20-packs

I figured, but it's fun to keep up the tease, you know. Let a man sink into debt as far as he can go, Rean

Hope your food is good, Elliot!
[It sure is gay, but guess who sure is oblivious? This guy.]
