I cannot go into a lot of detail.
I don't know, it isn't my curse, and not my story to share.

But it's one that seems tied to a mark given to the person by some godling.
It showed up here. And it's going to kill the person if it isn't stopped.

I don't think I'm experienced enough to undo a curse done by a godling, but I'll do anything I can to help.

As far as doing something, I mean, if you don't know much about curses then it's probably best not to try. It could make it worse, by triggering some reaction we don't know about.
