It was! He was a little bigger than Porsche but not by much. I think I must've relied on him a lot.

They looked a lot scarier than most animals Disney would put in movies actually!

Like a ten foot tall kangaroo with sharp teeth and spines for example

Are monsters normal?

Yes I think so, but I feel bad to call them that.

In some worlds? I know they're in the one my memories are from.

Do you remember killing them?

I remembered that too, using those swords I told you about to slice off their head. They were different monsters, but me and that redhead killed them all. I think they were attacking people

[Look if your vegetarian cousin asks you if you've killed creatures before, you come ready with a defense ok]

Well, maybe there's different types of monsters where you're from? And some are nicer than others?

They looked similar, but that's probably it.

[ She doesn't like it, the idea that she just... killed them. Used her swords to take off their head. Maybe'll it'll pass or feel better as she gets more context. But the violence of it is sticking with her. ]

Has anyone told you about monsters showing up in this town?

Some people have mentioned it, it was one of the big take aways of dangerous things

They weren't wrong about that...
There hasn't been any since October, but there's always a chance they might appear again.

Do you get blood all over you and I never knew about it?

I wouldn't say it was all over me...

I'm sorry. I didn't wanna worry you guys.

So they actually bled and everyone had to kill them and I need to be prepared to do the same

You don't have to fight if you don't want to...or kill them. Just getting away should be enough.

If I actually become as skilled as I remember being, or have those powers, it would be irresponsible not to if I can keep people safe

Tbh? I don't know.

But I don't think you should be forced to do something you don't want to just because of your other life.

[ She exhales on her end and honestly she agrees and she's not even sure why this is sticking with her so much. Maybe she's being silly. A bunch of those people on the introduction seemed to be certain of a lot of things - and it pisses her off, honestly. It's not her nature to be as wishy-washy as she feels now.

... But she can still recall her staggered breathes as she had the swords sever their heads.

And all of them are frustrating to her. ]
