Everything in life is earned by perseverance and work, it seems. Even the ability to scream really loud.

Yeah! Especially scream singing. You could damage your vocal chords if you do it wrong.
There's a certain art to it. It's not really my style, but I respect it.

I suppose what does and doesn't damage your vocal chords has rarely crossed my mind as I do not sing professionally.
