[Well it's evening and what festival is complete without fireworks? Elliot of course decided to watch the fireworks with close friends...aka his roommates. In searching for a good spot, they eventually come across some beach rocks that are pretty empty so they can do other stuff too but still has a good view of the fireworks]

This looks like a good spot!

[ To be honest, Yusuke bumbling along in the semi-dark down a pebbled beach, especially when he's distracted by the lights from the festival in the distance and the way the stars seem to brighten the further away they go.

The lights in the distance, like stars close to earth, and the scattering of lights in the sky... are both beautiful in their own way.

He's probably going to stumble at some point, but for now he'll just be taking the contrast - the lights, the bustle and the sound alongside the darkness of the beach, the still air and the lapping of the waves against the shore. ]

Yes, this is lovely. A clear view, away from the crowds.

[ Ren separated from his friends and all his other obligations to go fetch something for the fireworks. It's just something small... So he doesn't get to take in the atmosphere when the sun has finally set and the darkness is lit with fairy lights and candles.

With him is a small basket. ]

I brought the picnic basket from the car.

[ Which he stuffed in his trunk... Inside a cooler to make sure it stays fresh. Don't ask questions. He stopped asking when a Car was a thing. It's filled with small snacks, mochi, some other stuff to enjoy their viewing. He settles, placing it gently down. ]

Oh thanks Rean! That's really thoughtful!

[Elliot meanwhile to help make sure they don't stumble around in the dark, has a little electric lantern. He switches it on to a low light setting and sets it the middle of the designated spot. ]

There, I'll turn it off once the show starts.

which probably won’t be anything other than asking if there’s fruit in the cooler. kicking off sandals to get his feet into the sand, eren catches up with mochi, a bundle under one arm while holding out the hand for them to wait. ]

Hold on, [ don’t!! sit yet!!

he brought towels.

like he literally went out and spent money on souvenir towels. one for each. you get a new towel, and you get a new towel. ]

[ And there's food...! What a wonderful evening. ]

The only downside is that there's not enough light for me to sketch while we're here. [ He's digging out his phone though. ] I will need to take some pictures of the fireworks to recreate later... I have faith that the colour display against this dark sky will be beautiful.

[ Yaaaaaaay. And he gets a new towel. Good, Eren. ]

Oh, these are beautiful too.

[Eren you're so thoughtful. Elliot will smile up at him as he takes the fish kite towel]

Haha, but if you started sketching, you might not look up and miss the whole show.

Did you buy all of these just now, Eren?

[ If you think Ren would let Eren live his life without any dragging, then you're wrong. He won't say no to a free towel from a good friend, so he takes it before hanging it over his own head like a blanket. Popping open the cooler, he takes out melona ice bars.

They're just really good ice cream. Don't question. ]

Never get Yusuke a night sketch pad. He won't sleep.
