[In a sense. More like it teleported him and a cousin right into the lion's cage at the zoo. Elliot might have bad luck.

But he watches Crow enter in the code, thankfully without incident, and out come the guns.

Elliot too looks really impressed. It's so different seeing them in person than glancing during a memory]

[They both gawk over them as Crow keeps turning them over, inspecting the metalwork. It was...top notch to say the least. Or he assumes so--they look pretty amazing to him.]

Heh, wanna hold one for a second?

[Elliot doesn't have to hold it up or anything, but feeling that metal was just so weird.

It felt so foreign.]

[He'll take either of the guns offered to him. He holds it in a...surprisingly knowledgeable way considering he's a soft music boy

Wow...it looks like a normalish gun at a glance, but it's made really differently. The metal even feels a little like my staff's.

[Crow's a little surprised, honestly. Sure, HE knew how to hold one--Grandpa Armbrust did let him hold a pistol once or twice as a kid, but Elliot did not give that vibe at all.

Not that he'll say something about it. Maybe the kid had an uncle or relative with the same deal.]

Right? It's kind of lighter too...and no room for bullets it feels like...at least in this one. [He gestures to the more rectangular shaped one.]

Yeah...the bullet chamber of the pistol is really off too. No way you could put any real bullets in there.

[It's curious, to say the least. he wasn't a gun expert, but he knew the parts well enough to tell something's off]

I wonder if it doesn't need bullets.

[He leans over Elliot to get a better look at the one he's got, tracing a finger along it]

But then what does it fire...

[He'll look at Elliot then, eyes practically dancing.] Think we can hold off on pancakes for a minute? I wanna test these bad boys out somewhere secluded.

[He'll offer the gun back to Crow]

Haha, sure! I think I know just the place too...if you don't mind seeing something else strange today.

[Reaching into his pocket to pull out his phone.]

[He takes back that gun, letting it sit in his other hand and marveling at how...right it feels. At how they just perfectly fit to his hands.]

Hmm?

[He'd been hoping they could find a little patch on the outskirts of the city or a wooded area but...Elliot sounds pretty ominous here.]

Is this another Retrospec thing?

Something like that! At the very least, we won't have to worry about bus fare...

[He pokes a few buttons on his phone until he reaches the metaverse app. Triggering it, there's a sudden shift in reality. Any people or cars that were around? Disappear. Though the subway station nearby seems suddenly active, with sounds of activity going on down inside despite the subway being out-of-order for years.

Elliot's outfit is different as well, along with a matching teal eye mask]

[Crow's eyes shoot open in shock, looking around as cars and people dissipate into thin air, leaving nothing but (mostly) silence. The only sound was a strange rumbling from the subway.

It takes him a moment before he notices Elliot's attire, visibly jumping just a bit in surprise.]

Whoa, nice wardrobe change...

[Don't mind if he inspects it a little bit.]

Layer...is it like one of Retrospec's layers or something different?

[Go ahead and check out the threads. Elliot's been in and out of the metaverse enough times that he half forgotten about that until Crow reminds him]

Yeah, there's a lot of stuff like that in town. Like that Big Bang Burgers place we had lunch with Eren.
