[Rean leans back a little, which earns a little "mrr" from Pachinko. How dare Rean not full-body cuddle him? He gets some pets to quell his irritation, though, which he accepts.]

I guess I'm not opposed to it if the right person comes along, but in general I've just never seriously thought about it. Guess I've always figured it'd probably be better to have a good handle on my own life before I went waltzing into someone else's.

That's...not exactly how relationships work Rean.

You don't wait until you're the idealized version of yourself to start dating. No one would ever date if it was like that.

Instead it's more like...with the right person, you become a pair that brings out the best in each other? And you both learn and grow together, as a team, to get a handle on things.

[Crow smiles when he sees Elliot speak up. It's good to see him confident enough to give advice like this. To be so comfortable in his own life and decision that he can safely and confidently offer his input.]

Ha... I guess so. [Rean sighs a little, turning a withering little stare to Elliot.] Because you sound just like Eren right now...

But... yeah, I know. If I find a partner like that... well, I'm not against the idea. [And that choice in wording is deliberate: partner. That's the idea Elliot was getting at, after all, isn't it? [A pause, and a shy little laugh as he looks away, down at Pachinko just to avoid their gazes.]

Call me a romantic, I guess, but I'd always kind of hoped something like that would be a little more... I dunno. Fated than just hitting up girls in the student union.

That's a good point, that doesn't seem very romantic either. Unless it's one of those "I saw you and knew you were the one" types of deal.

Ah... yeah. He sent me a picture from Halloween of him and you. [He looks to Elliot on that one.] And I had been saying it was sweet he had pictures of you two, and he asked if I was seeing anyone, and... yeah. Basically this exact same conversation from there. [Sigh!] It's all right, though. I think it'd be a little weird if you had known.

[He rubs at Pachinko's ears while he processes the rest of that.]

He does look over at Crow]

[Crow's practically beaming, his own jump in his heart shoved back down deep where it belongs.]

[Elliot laughs]

[From the expression, Crow is either plotting to set him up or go full Queer Eye on the poor boy. So in a joking tone:] What if you took him out for a date Crow? Like, a practice one.

[Crow's eyes flutter in surprise at Elliot's proposition. Not that he's against helping a bro out, but he won't admit that his blood ran icy for a split second there. Not out of dread, but something else. Something he didn't really want to address right now.

Just for practice.

He's quick to mask that surprise with a smile, turning to look at Rean.]

[Crow this is gonna look hilarious in a month or two.]

[Rean's cheeks were twinged pink before just from talking about this, but that flush blossoms into a bright red at the suggestion.]

Who goes on a date as "practice?!"

Well, you said you wanted it to be 'fated', right? Better get out all the nervousness with a guy you trust than with Mr. or Ms. Right.

[Rean would be tempted to bury his face in his hands and just hope to sink into the couch and vanish right here and now, if Pachinko wasn't so insistent for pets.

[He mutters that under his breath, then just sighs as he tries to clear his head and beat back some of how his cheeks are burning so he can actually respond.]

I... listen. I'll... consider it? I guess? But right now I'm not sure I can make myself think of that as anything other than confusing and awkward.

[Elliot offers a sympathetic laugh towards Rean]

Crow has a point.

But alright. As long as you think about it! Between Crow and me brainstorming, it'd be pretty easy to come up with possible practice dates.

[No job is too small for the concert duo, especially if it means orchestrating Rean's love life]

[Crow can't help but chuckle too, seeing Rean's face flush like this. If he had to be honest, it was adorable--Rean was always so composed, or he at least liked to show that on the outside. So seeing these little pieces of Rean that weren't so 'ideal' were nice.]

Exactly. Elliot and I've got your back, whether or not you decide to go on one or not.

[Pachinko looks over at Crow evenly, blinking slowly with almost half lidded eyes. Is he just content? Or is he on Team Elliot and thinks his human is stupid for not seeing the obvious? Who knows.]

The way I see it? It's an excuse for food.

[Let's all be honest — Pachinko is on Team Pachinko. Give him all the pets.

If Rean knew Crow was thinking he was adorable right now, he might just faint from all the blood rushing to his cheeks at once. There's only so much one awkward weeb can handle all at once, and even this is rapidly approaching that point. So, really, it's for the best that Crow's keeping it to himself.

Food, though, food is neutral enough for him to grab hold of and run with.]

...You do have a point, there, but it's not like we can't just go get food without you two trying to set me up for something awkward...

[Give him a minute as he reaches behind the couch, pulling out a little cat toy attached to a stick, handing it over to Rean.]

Well, it looks like that smooths over any anxieties Rean has left over, because he's quick to take it and hold it out so that the toy dangles.

Pachinko's eyes go wide at the sight of the toy, scrambling off Rean's lap to bat at it before catching it in his mouth and trying to walk away with it. Alas, string.

Pachiko whirls his head back at the toy, betrayed, as Rean laughs.]

[This is the purest thing Elliot's ever seen. Don't mind him as he just watches forever okay. Dang]
