Evening in the Dorms
Summary
Elliot is relaxing in his dorm after a long practice session. Rean comes by and talks for a bit and lowkey points out that it's Elliot's fault they are all so tired. Also Jusis and Machias are arguing outside in the hallway, but that's a normal sound.
Olaf likes Warm Hugs
Summary
Class VII goes to watch the 4th Division hold a training exercise, and beforehand meets the commander - Elliot's father. Class VII, who for months heard from Elliot that his dad was a hardass general who forbid him to go to the music academy, completely ruins the image by pulling Elliot into a massive hug and acting very emotional.
Meeting Rean
Summary
As Principal Vandyck gives the opening ceremony speech, Elliot decides to talk to Rean sitting next to him. They talk for a bit, and introduce themselves. When they get told to go to their assigned classrooms, they are confused until Instructor Sara tells them to follow her.
Being Saved by Machias
Summary
Rean, Gaius and Elliot fight a batch of monster bugs during their first day orienteering exercise. Afterwards, Elliot becomes exhausted and falls over for a bit. He nearly gets ambushed by another bug, but Machias (who had stormed off earlier), shows up and saves him.
Gun Testing
Summary
While on a field study in Roer, Class VII gets asked to test a gun mod for the local weapon developers. They do this by killing a bunch of owl monsters in the mountains. It's probably fine.
Roer Concert Planning
Summary
While on a field study and staying in Alisa's apartment, Elliot and Crow work together to put together a plan for a concert. Rean comes to check on them and bickers with Crow for a bit over costume designs, though Elliot wasn't paying close attention.

Morning in Roer
Summary
During a field study, the group hangs out in front of Reinford HQ before setting out for the day. Alisa is annoyed at Rean for sneaking out the night before to meet another woman (a military officer who wanted to give him intel about the situation in Roer), and the rest of the group give him crap about it. They also discuss the situation with the Reinford company, look at their assigned tasks and head out for the day.
Nord Highlands Situation
Summary
The general knowledge of the Nord situation. Basically Nord is a tiny region full of nomadic tribes that is unfortunately sandwiched between two major powers who hate each other (Erebonia and Calvard). So whenever things heat up in those countries, Nord gets caught in the crossfire and the Nord natives have to seek refugee.
Crow Gambling
Summary
While patrolling Heimdallr for a field study, Elliot's group come across Crow who says he's come to check on the horse races that he's gambling over. They're very astonished towards his enthusiam over the races.
Crow Joins Class VII
Summary
Class VII finds out that Crow, a second year student, is transferring into their class for the next three months because he failed so many classes he needs to repeat part of a year. Way to go senpai.

They learn that the Duke that controls the region, Duke Albarea, has significantly raised sale taxes at the expense of his people. What more, he's refused to listen to any complaints, and the provincial army (under the Duke's control) has made it clear they won't protect the market unless they accept the new tax. There is speculation that the matching market stall permits that caused the scuffle happened either because the Duke's gotten careless about the Market, or it was done deliberately.
