[He takes a moment to register. He slowly opens his eyes and lifts his head. Ah...he fell asleep against the piano again didn't he? And as he sits up....he tenses.]
[He may be only waking up but don't think he MISSED that. He'll grin a little]
Yeah, that sounds like a great idea.
[He'll pull himself from the piano, making a little discomfort sound as he moves his muscles. Yeah. Falling asleep on the piano is a bad idea. He needs to remember that!]
[Rean steps behind Elliot, reaching out to massage his shoulders with gentle pressure before allowing him to stand, then nodding toward the bedroom as soon as he's caught Elliot's gaze and walking off.
[He shrugs off his jacket, turning back a little towards Elliot to reveal at least the top of some black and blue blooms on his neck that continue down towards his shoulder.]
With anyone else, he'd be hiding these for all its worth, but with Elliot? It's kind of fun being the one who gets to be shameless, for once.
He tosses his jacket off to the side (a problem for future Rean) and goes to join Elliot on the bed.]
Well... we went out drinking last night. Surprising no one, Crow can drink me under the table. I don't... exactly remember how we got from point A to point B, but we wound up back at his place, and I kind of remember us arguing over which one of us should get the bed. I think it was me who suggested we should share it, which somehow he actually agreed.
Then we were just... talking about things? And he was being his usual self about everything, kind of dodging around everything I had to say or brushing me off if he didn't want to hear the point I was trying to make. ...He had been doing that before we went out, too; I told him I knew about what you'd told him and he just tried convincing me it was impossible again.
But oh, right. Sorry, it's just so easy to get derailed into wanting to push the other man he loves out a window.]
Ah, yeah. So, he's dodging around, and I kind of... I guess I just snapped. Told him I was sick of him acting like he knows everything and that I wanted him to just listen. Let me in for once.
And, um, I may have just. Slipped and said "I love you" without thinking?
[He runs a hand through his hair, a bit sheepish. What a way to confess, right?]
He kind of broke for a minute, but he didn't say no. And he kept trying to avoid it, but... it's Crow. I figured if he was against it I would know, right?
So I pressed the issue, and he finally just said to tell him if I felt the same in the morning. Which... I was sober enough at that point to remember pretty much everything, but I figured that was a fair enough request. I'd probably want the same thing.
So we go to sleep, eventually wake up and he actually asked me if I remembered. So I said yes and that I meant what I said, and just...
It's Crow. I don't expect him to be able to say the things you and I do so easily. So I just asked him if he could at least do something to confirm it was mutual... and the next thing I knew he was kissing me.
And then the next thing I knew we were on the floor.
Yeah. Somehow I'm not surprised he'd go for that instead of just saying how he feels.
[Crow...Crow he doesn't expect you to be as sentimental as a Craig since that's physically impossible for most people, but why are you like this?]
Well I'm glad you told him how you felt. And stuck to it too! [He's proud of you sweetie! And while he really wants to know some of the dirtier details, first thing first is Rean and making sure he feels ok with how things progressed] How are you feeling now?
Yeah, me either. [He's not even questioning why Crow is like this, because he knows.] I mean... he even said last night that he "doesn't know" how to be open like I am. Like we are.
So it's... probably just easier for him to act on something.
[...]
I mean, aside from sore? [He laughs a little.] I'm okay with it, actually. It's... I think he'd probably freak out if I called him my boyfriend, but I'm way more confident about where things stand right now, at least.
It's going to be a lot harder for him to try to run away when I know for sure he wants this, too. It's like you said... I'm stubborn. And now I don't have any doubts in the way.
I see...well, in his defense, you can get pretty sappy sometimes. [He knows he's a hypocrite but shhh] ...Though, he's still an extreme case.
[So it's okay Rean, he's still weirder than you.]
Haha, good. Knowing Crow, he wouldn't have done that with you if he didn't really feel that way. You've always been really important to him. No way he'd risk that if he was just hoping for a one-night stand.
[He's gone and made himself scarce after nearly blowing up at Jun. But once it's obvious that the group's finally dispersed, Lutha tries to pick out a couple people. Elliot is one of them, though he tries to avoid approaching unless Rean is absent or otherwise occupied.
There's a careful clearing of his throat, just enough to try to get the musician's attention.]
[Well that ...sure was a meeting! Elliot can't call it a productive meeting between Ris whole murder talk, Crow's everything, and what went down with Lutha and Jun --- but somehow he's been through worse too.
Rean and Crow went off to talk somewhere else, so Elliot's easy to find alone. Mostly he was contemplating if he should go play some music or train more. So it's easy enough to get his attention]
Oh, hey Lutha. Sure we can. I, uh, saw you left the meeting early...
Not a great look, but... I knew I'd just make an idiot of myself if I stayed any longer. For all the shit I spewed about trying to stay on topic, it'd be wrong of me to just lose my temper over something stupid.
[...]
I need some help with something. Back at my teapot, actually. I need to go back to fix up something, anyway, and I know you know your way around instruments. So... [There's an awkward shrug. He doesn't feel like this is a request he deserves at this second, but he knows being alone will just not do him much good.]
If you'd rather Rean or someone be with you, I get it. But I'd appreciate if you could help.
[It feels wrong, to be getting embarrassed over something he loves so much. But he still looks slightly mortified about talking about it openly.]
Look, I've been putting it off because I keep getting too frustrated with it. So I... I figure having a second pair of eyes might help figure out my issues with it, okay?
[He stays silent out of sheer embarrassment for the rest of the walk. Every so often there's a hitch in his step, almost a limp, but he corrects himself with little more than a grimace.
The teapot he pulls out of his stash is plain, still the color of clay, with dragonflies painted white around the the rim of the lid.]
Don't freak out about the manor, alright. I gave Tubby free reign of the place, but she didn't seem all that interested.
