Can I tell you something important before we head out? It's about me....and why Akira decided to let me stay.

[Elliot should know that he's hanging out with a zombie before they go outside. That seems important.]

[Elliot had been curious, but he wasn't about to pry into this person's business. If Akira felt it was okay to let him stay in their home, that was good enough for him]

[Nanashi keeps his voice quiet and but it's loud enough for Elliot to hear.]

I was vague about it. Told them I was fine but didn't say mention where I was staying.

Elliot tries his best to keep a straight face, but the inside of his head looks something like this. Luckily, only the corners of his mouth twitch a little, which he plays off as an agreeable smile]

Yeah, it is. I've got a younger sister too. Haven't been able to get into contact with her because of Retrospec.

Do you find it difficult to contact people who live outside of the city?

[yes good laugh away. But oh, there's something that stops the laughter- asking about Elliot's family. ]

[Immediately, his body language turns to one of discomfort. He glances off to the side, avoiding Nanashi's look, and worries his lip a little. His family situation is...rather messed up right now, part of why he was concerned about Nanashi's. But he was a private person, so he didn't want to dump that on a teenage boy who came here for refuge]

Y-Yeah, I have. I moved here from New York last fall for school so...

[Most of his family was Elsewhere]

[It sucks that they can't get into contact with their family easily. At the mention of Elliot's family Nanashi remembers something important.]

I heard from Natalia that you were her cousin. You have some family down here at least?

[Nanashi hasn't forgotten about the stabbing incident that happened last month! That's how he knows Natalia and how they're related.]

Yeah, we do. I have a few cousins in town, and my brother.

Natalia seemed really fond of you from what I've heard. Elliot, are you the older or younger sibling?

[If Nanashi had to guess then he'd say younger. Elliot doesn't seem that old.]

Ehe, younger. My brother's ten years older.

Ten whole years? Wow.

[Nanashi's only one year older than his sister. That's a large age gap. ]

Bet you must feel a little young standing in front of him.

Ha, young and short. He's over six feet tall.

[And muscular from all the firefighting stuff. Basically, total opposite of wee 5'4" Elliot here]

[Nanashi isn't much shorter than Elliot standing at only 5"2.]

My cousin lives in the city too. His name's Jouhei Kurosawa. Do you know him?
