Summary: Everyone is being plagued by nightmares, and there's a fog every night that conjures up nightmarish foes. Elliot is having a great time.

[Original Thread]

[Elliot will help him through that window, and help pull him up once he's through. It should feel like they're outside now- though the heat of the fire is still pretty high.]

C'mon! We're almost there!

[He'll start leading him down the fire escape! ]

[Normally running at full tilt when Snake doesn't know where he is would be a bad idea, but there's little time. He trusts Elliot to get him out safely as they clamber down the fire escape!]

[Elliot is trying his best to get them to safety alright. And it's not like he has much choice, with the building burning down. Every moment counts.

They managed to pass the first flight of stairs safely. As this is a nightmare, there seems to be an impossible amount of flights to descend. However, they won't get a chance, as when they are halfway down the second flight--

BOOM

The fire must have reached something explosive in one of the apartments. A large explosion erupts, destroying a side of the building as flames flare out of every opening. The fire escape shakes, and then breaks from the force. Elliot stumbles as he tries to hold onto something, but there's nothing to hand onto as they slide down and off the stairs-

The next thing Snake feels is being in freefall, like one of those falling nightmares. ]

[Even if it's not lucrative? Elliot seems impressed! A private investigator is pretty cool]

That's so cool. But I-I don't know if I could actually do something like that, I'd probably be in over my head...

[Except if Goro pays attention? He'll notice that the previously vague figures at the dinner table has changed to this group, not paying attention to Elliot and Goro in the slightest as they talk. The Elliot among them seems like a couple years younger.]

- H-Huh?

[Oh, that is interesting. Hello. He thinks Elliot could do it, honestly, but he'll leave that discussion for the waking world.]

Friends of yours..?

Um- I dunno....?

[The group seems to be involved in their own discussion, talking about taking on some kind of investigation the local authorities aren't bothered with. It's hard to make out every word though, things are distorted in dream land. He'll remember properly later]

I-I think that's a memory from the other me. I've seen that black haired guy before.

[... He likes this black haired boy, he's cute and seems steadfast about this investigating thing as far as tone goes, even if they can't make out all the words.]

They seem friendly enough... though I'm surprised you have this sort of memory, too. Maybe you're more cut out for this than you thought?

[Figures you'd like the protag with a harem worth of people attracted to him. It just figures.]

They're usually simple cases, I promise. The most difficult one we've received was one from Akira, and we managed to solve it quietly with little issue.

I won't press, however. But the offer is always open if you'd like to give it a shot regardless.

I'm glad to hear that. After all... um, a friend of Akira's is a friend of mine.

[Though honestly he's a little nervous in saying so, even if it's mostly just a gesture of friendliness; for all his appearances, Goro isn't actually very good at judging when one becomes friends and the like, or with assuming relationships like that.]

Such a bright person shouldn't be downcast for long anyway; you look nicer with a smile.

Hehe, yeah. And a boyfriend of Akira's is a friend of mine.

[Don't worry Goro. Elliot makes friends super easy.]

[Wow, could it be that Goro's managed to solve this nightmare happily? It sure seems to be that way, except he might catch some movement from the dinner plates.

Those tomatoes sure are moving more than a tomato should. Huh. That's weird. Elliot hasn't seemed to notice yet.]

[... That is unusual and his attention is immediately caught. Tomatoes shouldn't move at all? But these ones. Sort of are.

So, like.

What happens when he stabs one with a fork.]

[The tomato will squeal as it gets stabbed. Which catches the attention of all the other tomatoes. They turn to look at Goro, open their mouths.

And lunge straight at his face.

Rest in frigging pieces Goro. At least he'll probably wake up before it gets too grisely]
