[Elliot will help him through that window, and help pull him up once he's through. It should feel like they're outside now- though the heat of the fire is still pretty high.]
[Normally running at full tilt when Snake doesn't know where he is would be a bad idea, but there's little time. He trusts Elliot to get him out safely as they clamber down the fire escape!]
[Elliot is trying his best to get them to safety alright. And it's not like he has much choice, with the building burning down. Every moment counts.
They managed to pass the first flight of stairs safely. As this is a nightmare, there seems to be an impossible amount of flights to descend. However, they won't get a chance, as when they are halfway down the second flight--
BOOM
The fire must have reached something explosive in one of the apartments. A large explosion erupts, destroying a side of the building as flames flare out of every opening. The fire escape shakes, and then breaks from the force. Elliot stumbles as he tries to hold onto something, but there's nothing to hand onto as they slide down and off the stairs-
The next thing Snake feels is being in freefall, like one of those falling nightmares. ]
[Even if it's not lucrative? Elliot seems impressed! A private investigator is pretty cool]
That's so cool. But I-I don't know if I could actually do something like that, I'd probably be in over my head...
[Except if Goro pays attention? He'll notice that the previously vague figures at the dinner table has changed to this group, not paying attention to Elliot and Goro in the slightest as they talk. The Elliot among them seems like a couple years younger.]
[The group seems to be involved in their own discussion, talking about taking on some kind of investigation the local authorities aren't bothered with. It's hard to make out every word though, things are distorted in dream land. He'll remember properly later]
I-I think that's a memory from the other me. I've seen that black haired guy before.
[... He likes this black haired boy, he's cute and seems steadfast about this investigating thing as far as tone goes, even if they can't make out all the words.]
They seem friendly enough... though I'm surprised you have this sort of memory, too. Maybe you're more cut out for this than you thought?
They're usually simple cases, I promise. The most difficult one we've received was one from Akira, and we managed to solve it quietly with little issue.
[while destroying a little boy's entire existence.]
I won't press, however. But the offer is always open if you'd like to give it a shot regardless.
I'm glad to hear that. After all... um, a friend of Akira's is a friend of mine.
[Though honestly he's a little nervous in saying so, even if it's mostly just a gesture of friendliness; for all his appearances, Goro isn't actually very good at judging when one becomes friends and the like, or with assuming relationships like that.]
Such a bright person shouldn't be downcast for long anyway; you look nicer with a smile.
Hehe, yeah. And a boyfriend of Akira's is a friend of mine.
[Don't worry Goro. Elliot makes friends super easy.]
...Thanks. I'll try to remember that.
[Wow, could it be that Goro's managed to solve this nightmare happily? It sure seems to be that way, except he might catch some movement from the dinner plates.
[It's safe to say that Elliot's terrified at the sight of the dragon claw coming down on them. He wants to scream, and nearly has the mind to do so-- but he stops himself when he reminds himself that Minako needs him not losing his head.
Seth materializing in time is a godsend. Elliot never thought he'd be so relieved to see a dragon as dark as night appear above him. Not that he ever thought dragons appearing over him would be a usual thing before tonight but-- well, welcome to his new life he supposes.]
O-Okay. I'm...a little terrified of fire, but I'll do my best.
[The bone dragon gets thrown back a good distance by Seth throwing himself into it. You don't have a lot of mass to hold you steady when you just have bones okay! It gives a roar and tries to breath it's poisonous breathe again.]
Q-Quick! Agidyne straight ahead before it breathes that gas!
[She gives his hand one last quick squeeze before tuning into the fight, the sound and sensation of Seth pushing back the bone dragon. Seth is speaking to her through their mental link as well, providing extra input, and with Elliot's call, she feels fairly confident that they can make this work, Seth's Agidyne exploding right into the bone dragon's face.]
Seth, onto the offensive! Keep that mouth closed!
[Seth snarls in answer, blasting another Agidyne forward in the same spot, then snapping his jaws in an attempt to catch any part of his enemy and crush it between his teeth.]
[Seth's attack will pay off! The dragon's face gets blown up with the fire, and the crushing between their teeth? Well there's a yell from the bone dragon as the top jaw gets crushed in Seth's teeth. This dragon is made of old bones after all.]
Seth broke its jaw!
[The bone dragon swipes Seth away with a blow of his claws, knocking the other dragon back. Then the bone dragon will move back more. It's injured and clearly hurting. A strong blow might be able to finish it off. But it's glowing-- it's getting ready to cast that spell again]
[Minako flinches at the same instance Seth does, shaking off the brief sting and realizing that, now that Seth has been knocked back, he has to reposition himself into the best angle to attack from. Elliot's warning tells them what to listen for, and-- yeah, no, hell if she's letting that thing throw out another spell on them.]
Seth! Go for the finishing blow!
[The dragon snarls and leaps back, skidding along the concrete and crouching down. With two powerful sweeps of his wings, he's lunging forward, using his whole body like a twisting battering ram to slam right into the bone dragon once again.]
[The blow strikes true. While the bone dragon had been casting, it had left itself completely open. Just before it could get the spell off, Seth rams into the dragon. Not just into it, but through it, as the old bones give way to the force and speed of Seth. It gives a dying shriek as it collapses to the ground into a pile of bones. Then, it starts to dissipate back into the fog.
Elliot lets out a happy and relieved gasp. It actually worked. They were safe. Punching the air with his fist]
Haha, you did it!
[For Minako, as the dragon fades, her vision will slowly return]
[A smile makes its way to her face hearing his cheers, Seth disappearing with begrudging acknowledgment to Minako's mental thanks to him.]
We did it. Great job, Elliot.
[But she doesn't truly relax until she realizes that her vision is returning, and she's so relieved she flops onto the ground, blinking rapidly to make sure it's really back.]
Aaha. Oh, thank god. I was worried I'd be blind for the rest of my life after this...
OCTOBER - Event Log
Summary: Everyone is being plagued by nightmares, and there's a fog every night that conjures up nightmarish foes. Elliot is having a great time.
Snake
[Elliot will help him through that window, and help pull him up once he's through. It should feel like they're outside now- though the heat of the fire is still pretty high.]
C'mon! We're almost there!
[He'll start leading him down the fire escape! ]

Goro - TY FOR THE REGAIN.
Wow...

T-Thanks, Akechi. Not just for the offer, but everything else too.
It made me feel a little better.
[Does he really think he's up to being an investigator? Not quite, but it's nice this guy seems to have more confidence in him than he does]

Those tomatoes sure are moving more than a tomato should. Huh. That's weird. Elliot hasn't seemed to notice yet.]
PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE
