[Wow...that's...he hadn't expected to hear Yusuke say no, but hearing him say yes? Fully with the knowledge that Akira said yes too? It hits him with more happiness and emotions than he was expecting. He feels himself draw in a deep breath and his face breaks out into a big smile.]

Ah- thank you, Yusuke!

[Aw screw it- HE'S GOING FOR A HUG. ]

I'm so happy!

[ This is his chance... When the hug lasts for maybe three seconds, Akira beelines over to join in, leaning all his weight so that they all topple over onto the couch. He presses his cheek into whoever’s back, closing his eyes to enjoy this moment.

It is a perfect puddle of hugs now and thank god he’s on top of the pile. ]

[ There's a brief pause where Elliot is joyful, and there is a lovely hug and everything is beautiful.

And then Akira smacks into them and they fall in a big old pile and Yusuke is crushed. But it's a good kind of crushed - full of love and friendship, and Yusuke's arms are long enough to reach around and catch Akira as well.

Fwendship. ]

[Welp that sure is an Akira amount of weight. Elliot laughs as he gets crushed by this friendship sandwich. To Akira:]

Oh, there you are!

[Done hiding now?? Excuse him as he tries to turn and wrap one arm around both of them to complete this hug, aw yais]

[ Wow. He didn't expect Yusuke to be able to react so fast after being toppled over into the pile. He nests here, obviously very happy in this little spot they've made in a matter of seconds. ]

We should bake something as a celebration.

[ Ow.

Yusuke wriggles a little awkwardly trying to turn himself around, or at least enough that he can look at Akira without dislodging the rest of the Fellowship in the process. ]

Like a cake? ... Do people do engagement party cakes?

[ They should. ] ... Does this count as an engagement party now?

Um- it could?

[Wait that sounds greedy]

N-Not that you have to do anything like that. A cake is a lot of work.

[ Whispers ever so silently: ]

Bread pudding.

Whichever would be tastier, or easier. I am not picky.

[ He chuckles. ]

We should do something though. It is not every day one gets engaged.

Ahaha...w-well, bread pudding would be good.

[He's smiling, also turning a little pink in the cheeks. People shining attention on him? What is this]

But really, only if it's not too much trouble.

Making food with friends is never too much trouble. Especially celebratory food.

... I don't know how to make it, actually.

[ Hm. He ponders a little, as if thinking of something else to make— ]

I'm sure we'll be fine.

Do you want me to find you a recipe? I don't really make it either but...

Following a recipe is usually the best way to do something you don't know, yes?

It's a popular recipe, correct? I'm sure we'll find plenty of ideas.

I personally think we’ll be fine... What can go wrong?

[ So many things can go wrong, actually. ]

We should show off our creativity.

But at least you seem confident. That's something.

[ THAT SOUNDS LIKE A RECIPE FOR DISASTER they should absolutely wing it. ]

With flavours and decoration? Bread pudding usually seems bland, so I don't think it would be detrimental to add more flavour to it.

Perhaps a theme - you'd usually ask someone their favourite type of cake, so why not ask the same thing here? We could use Elliot's favourite sweet flavour.

Cooking and baking lets us make anything what we want, really.

[ Since Akira did make a dessert pasta, he thinks they can make bread pudding spectacular. ]

Good idea. What do you like, Elliot?

[He's so unsure, but these two seem like they're having fun. so who is he to ruin it?]

Me? Well, I like fruit! Berries, oranges, lemons - anything sweet but not too sweet.

[ Dessert... pasta... ]

Citrus flavours? Berries can be quite sharp as well. Perhaps adding a traditionally sweet flavour like an ice cream or flavoured cream to it would be nice...

[ Look ma, his fancy ass chef boyfriend's cooking stuff is rubbing off. Probably? Maybe. ]

Plus the stark colour of berries mixed in with the white of cream and lighter tones of the bread base would look most appealing.

[ Or not. ]

All right. I'll go assemble the mix of berries now.

[ It's so difficult, but he peels himself off of this pile and heads to the kitchen to get the random bundle of berries.

And orange, lime, lemon. They're doing this. ]

...N-Now?

[wow he thought they'd need at least a grocery shop first!! or to google something??]

Um, okay!

[ Oh, their pile is shrinking... alas. ]

No time like the present. We have a number of things in the kitchen... [ And there's probably something from the last time Sanji was round and cooked something. Did he use cream then? Or berries? Maybe?? ]

And we are enthusiastic about the idea right now, so it's a good time.

[ As if Akira read someone's mind, he raises his voice from the kitchen. ]

We have cream!

[ ............ but does bread pudding cake use cream? Well. Cream can be added to any dessert, right? ]

I guess that's true...

[Oh Akira is calling out. ]

Oh great! [...] Does it need cream?
