[He was about to say something before Crow added that part about pick up lines. He gives a look]

P-Pickup lines?

Wait, didn't you just say every girl you try to pickup gets taken by your friend instead...?

[WOW ELLIOT, YOU COULD'VE SLAIN HIM WITH THAT LINE. He visibly grips his chest, his face falling as his eyes close.]

The pickup lines still WORK, Elliot.

Oh....sorry, I didn't mean to pour salt on a wound.

[He pats Crow's shoulder a couple times. There there Crow. There there.]

Okay, alright. Then....Professor Crow, what pickup lines do you use.

[Let him have what little pride he has, Elliot...]

Hm.

Well I try and tailor it to the person I'm trying to pick up. So for example, if it were you, I'd do something like..

[He'll just throw an arm around Elliot's shoulders.]

I may be Baroque but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a night on the town~

[His most endearing trait--the ability to say all of this with a winning smile.]

Ok wow that is suddenly a lot of flirting thrown his way. And a pun! It makes Elliot blush and look away from that winning smile, giggling besides himself at the pun]

N-No fair.

[jurai]

[He'll remove that arm now, because he's not a homewrecker like SOME PEOPLE.]

Haha! It worked, didn't it?

[Yeah thanks Crow. that's appreciated. ]

W-Well, a little but-

You already knew I liked music and puns. I thought pick-up lines are for when you just met someone.

[A good argument, but--]

I knew you liked music the moment I saw you, though. Remember how we met?

[fiddlestick]

Haha, how could I forget? Most people don't walk up and start chatting with the performer.

Heh, well you were just THAT good, you know.

[He closes his eyes, sitting back in his seat.]

They say you can tell when a person puts his all into his music, and when I heard you, I guess I finally understood what that meant.




Sappy as that sounds.

[fiddlestick]

Really sappy. [he's smiling though] But it's the nicest thing I could hear about my music.

[He glances out the window- noticing the surroundings]

Oh! Our stop's coming up!

[He'll reach over to pull the signal cord!]

[Good, he can see Elliot's self esteem meter go up by .5% just from that.]

Oh, already? Time sure flies...

[He'll stand up too, taking one of the supports on the bus to hold him in place while it goes to come to a stop.]

[fiddlestick]

[It sure did. It is now at 5.5% of a healthy level.]

Yeah, sure does.

[He waits till the bus stops to get up, because he is too klutzy to risk stumbling and falling on Crow. When it stops, he gets off, thanking the bus driver as he leaves because he's a polite boy.]

Okay, should be just down the block!

[He points and sure enough, there's a strange looking mailbox down the way next to a waffle place]

[Once Crow's hopped off the bus, he looks down the street to see...yep. That sure is a mailbox, albeit a very odd looking one.]

Mailbox, Waffle place.

This's got to be it. Anything special I gotta do to get my stuff?

[fiddlestick]

[he nods]

Yep. If you ever need to remember, just know it's the waffle place with the really good blueberry pancakes.

You should've gotten a slip with a number code on it? If you enter in the number, it'll open up for you. Then...it's just a matter of hoping it's something small enough that's easy to get out of a mailbox.

And not alive.

[He's heard some stories ok]

2/2 Surprise

[And then, as if he just had a flashback to a horrible memory]

-- Oh and w-whatever you do, don't kick the mailbox! Just...don't.

Well now you've sold me on what to get from there.

[Give Crow a moment to fish that out of his pocket, a little crumpled from having to stuff it in there with the rest of his belongings.]

Ah, here we go. [He pauses at the 'Don't kick it!' comment, brows raised and...a little surprised at Elliot's tone. Did it bite?

It probably bit, it'd make as much sense as everything else in this world.]

Okay...so just punch in the number--like THAT....and!

[Like clockwork, the mailbox opens up, revealing his two pistols. Both look like they're different kinds of gun--one more rectangular and modern, while the other takes a more classic westernized look.

Gingerly, Crow reaches in to take them, fitting them into his hands just to test em out.]

Whoa...

[He'll just turn them over in his hands, looking at the blue energy flowing through some of the linings of the metal.]

[fiddlestick]

[In a sense. More like it teleported him and a cousin right into the lion's cage at the zoo. Elliot might have bad luck.

But he watches Crow enter in the code, thankfully without incident, and out come the guns.

Elliot too looks really impressed. It's so different seeing them in person than glancing during a memory]

Whoa...they look so cool...

[jurai]

[They both gawk over them as Crow keeps turning them over, inspecting the metalwork. It was...top notch to say the least. Or he assumes so--they look pretty amazing to him.]

Heh, wanna hold one for a second?

[Elliot doesn't have to hold it up or anything, but feeling that metal was just so weird.

It felt so foreign.]

Huh? Oh- sure!

[He'll take either of the guns offered to him. He holds it in a...surprisingly knowledgeable way considering he's a soft music boy

What he grew up military okay.]

Wow...it looks like a normalish gun at a glance, but it's made really differently. The metal even feels a little like my staff's.

[Crow's a little surprised, honestly. Sure, HE knew how to hold one--Grandpa Armbrust did let him hold a pistol once or twice as a kid, but Elliot did not give that vibe at all.

Not that he'll say something about it. Maybe the kid had an uncle or relative with the same deal.]

Right? It's kind of lighter too...and no room for bullets it feels like...at least in this one. [He gestures to the more rectangular shaped one.]

[fiddlestick]

Yeah...the bullet chamber of the pistol is really off too. No way you could put any real bullets in there.

[It's curious, to say the least. he wasn't a gun expert, but he knew the parts well enough to tell something's off]

I wonder if it doesn't need bullets.

[jurai]

[He leans over Elliot to get a better look at the one he's got, tracing a finger along it]

But then what does it fire...

[He'll look at Elliot then, eyes practically dancing.] Think we can hold off on pancakes for a minute? I wanna test these bad boys out somewhere secluded.

[fiddlestick]

[He'll offer the gun back to Crow]

Haha, sure! I think I know just the place too...if you don't mind seeing something else strange today.

[Reaching into his pocket to pull out his phone.]

[jurai]

[He takes back that gun, letting it sit in his other hand and marveling at how...right it feels. At how they just perfectly fit to his hands.]

Hmm?

[He'd been hoping they could find a little patch on the outskirts of the city or a wooded area but...Elliot sounds pretty ominous here.]

Is this another Retrospec thing?
