[Rean's quick to duck inside, although he won't start unwrapping his wounds until Elliot's in with the door closed. No need to freak out anyone that might be walking by.
Since this is Elliot's first time visiting Rean's dorm, he'll notice that it's pretty tidy! He could have maybe tried a little harder making the bed this morning, but everything else seems to be in its place. He's taken the bed down from its usual bunked style, although there's a decent amount of space under it still, which it looks like he's using for storage. Including something long and thin? Hm. He's got a beanbag tucked into the corner, and a tiny little bookshelf set up displaying a couple of anime figurines. And robots, because of course. He's Eren's friend for a reason.]
Um... make yourself comfortable, I guess. I can't pretend I have any idea how magic works.

Aha, it won't take too long. Though I should really follow Crow's request of cleaning it first, so...let's sit on the bed?

All right, works for me.
[Rean hops up onto his bed, leaving plenty of room for Elliot, and immediately gets to work getting rid of the paper towel ball around his hand.
And... yeah, it's not pretty looking. It's not too awful, all things considered, but there's two deeper cuts, one of which is definitely still not looking good, a good spattering of shallower cuts that have at least closed up on their own by now, and a nice handful of other visible scratches.

He also grabs a small bottle of rubbing alcohol that he stored away in there too, and some cloth. Then he gives a look at Rean's wound, giving it a grimace but not looking too fazed by it. He's seen a lot worse since becoming a healer]
Ouch, they really got you good.
[He wets the cloth with rubbing alcohol, ready to clean that wound]

No amount of readying will make him immune, and he does wince a little, but it's not like he makes sound or pulls away or anything. He's not the worst patient, just a bad one.
While Elliot's working on disinfecting him, Rean will peer over at the orbal staff. It is a new and interesting thing!]

And he notices Rean looking at the staff. Well if it has his attention, he'll talk about it in hopes to distract Rean from the stinging. ]
Haha, that's my staff. Apparently it's an "Orbal Staff" prototype that my other self was helping test.

Ehe, well I've done it a few times. Once and awhile Retrospec likes to send people on missions.

Not quite, but it does make casting easier. Oh- and that should be clean enough. [And if on cue, he finishes with the alcohol and puts the cloth away, pulling out the staff. The staff glows brightly for a moment, and when the glow goes away - it's now a full staff length instead of a violin.]

Mm... well, I guess having a healer around in those situations would be good. And you're here now, so I can only assume you've been careful.

Oh. Woah. That is definitely a staff now. And that was definitely magic. Not that he hasn't seen Elliot use magic before, but he's still not exactly used to it.
Don't mind him, he's just going to be mildly awestruck for a moment.]

Eheh, yeah! I like to think I've made myself useful thanks to my magic.
[And that's what his self-worth cares about. Being useful. Not being a burden. Same reason he insists on feeding so many people. He's useful that way.
Elliot notices Reans awe and grins a little ]
Cool right? And comes in handy. Anyway-
[He brings down the end of the staff so it bangs against the ground. But instead of a usual banging sound, it rings out like a tuning fork. There's a glowing light beneath both of them, and Rean will see the scratches start to heal and fade away right in front of him as the regeneration kicks in]

[And then Elliot's staff is ringing out like a tuning fork against the ground, and—]

[Rean can't contain his surprise, mouth dropping open as he watches his cuts heal up. This is kind of what he'd hoped would happen, that's why he called Elliot at all, but actually seeing it in action is...]
