Someone like this probably has a tight inner circle. Just like the resistance has eyes in the Coven, we should be careful of people who are extremely loyal to Morgana above all else.

I'd argue it might be worse though. I've been talking and listening to the locals, and even the people who don't fully agree with her act like there wasn't a Dorchacht before Morgana. It's like they don't remember anything before her even though it's only been about ten years.

It's understandable if she founded the city but it doesn't... sound like it.

What if she's using magic on people like the compulsion on Monsters in the dream?

That may have something to do with why it feels like both the coven's library and the city's library seem to have been tampered with.

I thought if I went in the Coven's library, I would be able to learn a lot more. But even though it had more, it gave me that same impression. The information just... feels incomplete.

That thought crossed my mind too, Rean. Someone who goes that far to control monsters wouldn't stop at just monsters. She wants to control every part of this city.

The memory erasure reminds me of what Vita told us about what usually happens to people's memories about the existence of Divine Knights. If widespread memory spells can work in Erebonia, they can definitely work in this world.

If that's what's going on, we'll need more time to investigate. Do you guys want to catch the second boat back?

Ideally we could root out the source of the tampering if there is one, but... we're strangers here. We might need to come back, assuming we want to take that initiative.

The Coven has been pretty reluctant and... I won't lie, we could end up igniting a conflict if we messed up. I'm curious about their side too.

Well, I doubt I stand a chance arguing against reviews like that. If even one person from this city actually listened to it, it's more than worth it. And I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't love the chance to perform with the both of you.

Yeah, the Resistance's existence isn't exactly the best kept secret...it wouldn't surprise me if she had a few spies. But I'm sure the Resistance has thought of that too if they've lasted this long.

We also can't assume all Mirrorbounds are against her ideas either. We have people from a lot of different backgrounds among us.

Worse, if she came from Aefenglom to begin with, then how much do the people who allowed us to come here know about her in truth? Is there more to the reason they don't want a fight to break out between the two cities?

That's true. The only thing we have in common with some of the other Mirrorbound is our situation. This whole thing is bigger than us-- bigger than we can see.

I'm sure we're not being told everything. They might call it protecting us, but if we're on the brink here we need to know how deep this all goes.

We can't just ignore what's going on in front of us.

If I'm honest, I'm a bit hesitant to accept getting involved in their political affairs. It feels a little too much like we're being drawn in on purpose with this trip.

However... if it's something that's going to affect our group-- then I'm on board. I'll do whatever I can to help support you guys.

And if there's something we can do to help the people here, then... we can do that together.

I agree. Something doesn't sit right about this whole situation. And we're outsiders, so I don't know how much we should get involved in how Dorchacht is run.

But ... I can't look away from this either. The people, monsters and humans, need help. I'd like to at least help them take the first steps, if we can, while investigate.

I'm definitely not proposing we fight their war for them. But there's no way we can pretend this won't affect us later on, too. If we can at least help them get started-- if we can prevent some casualties-- then we can make a difference.

It's possible this trip was more for Morgana than us. She might be sizing things up just in case negotiations go south at some point.

[!] Oh, you might be right. I saw their barracks, and from what I could tell they have a sizable army to defend the city. But it wasn't like it was big enough to pull off an invasion.

It's possible they have the rest of their forces elsewhere though.

And this is the first city outside of Aefenglom we've been made aware of that I know. We don't know how other areas of this world might fit into the issue-- whether or not there are other allies we should be aware of too.

But you're right. At least right now it doesn't seem like fighting is on their mind. So now might be the perfect time to dig deeper.

Morgana might have supporters in Aefenglom, too.

Let's keep poking around and if we find anything else, we can bring it to the table. We still have some time.
