Really? I suspect it will have something to do with him sleeping with someone powerful or rich or both, and definitely older than him, who probably introduced him to this world and messed with his mind in some way. Because they do seem to be going for that old "taming the bad boy" angle in this romance. For lack of a better word.

As someone who does enjoy the bad boy trope, he's more like... a sociopathic asshole whose self-absorbed attitude should push everyone everyone away, and yet by plot necessity she's more than attracted to him by, yes, the thought of "saving" or "fixing" something broken, which is insulting itself. It falls in the same holes that the Dusk saga does, which is no surprise consider its ultimate origin, and yet... I can't help but be disappointed.

[They're not even bad in an entertaining way. Or new.]

About the movie, anyway. I'm quite alright with Akira's dedication, even if his outfit is lacking.
